The Avon Valley School has just been awarded National Healthy Schools Status. This is in recognition of the excellent work that takes place in the school with respect to the teaching of PSHE (Personal Social and Health Education), Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Emotional Health and Well-being.

The Healthy Schools Award is about creating healthy and happy children and young people, who do better in learning and in life. The award aims to support children and young people in developing healthy behaviours, raising the achievement of children and young people, reducing health inequalities and promoting social inclusion.

It is fantastic news that the school has been recognised for it’s achievements in this area.
